Don’t let me go there tomorrow, the room is full up of my
thoughts, they weigh me down, I can’t write lyrics like that

uncomfortable to swim with a heavy head, I feel like I’m
sinking most of the time, even with my life jacket on

so bad but it’s getting to me

doing all I can to change the way they think about me

I love this so much. It inspires me in a few ways, one of which is to revisit Richard Brautigan because I wasn’t into him on my first read, but mostly it makes me want to bask in the warm places in my little world and go on early morning walks, not unlike the way I feel when I listen to Dolly Parton.
